ITAI 1378 - Computer Vision for Artificial Intelligence (A I) Credits: 3
This introductory course gives an overview of computer vision, which is the ability to use computer-driven cameras (all types & sizes) to image, sense and analyze photos, video, diagrams and more for information. Computer vision is about capturing data with image sensors and developing many ways to use it. When you add A.I. to the equation, it is possible to extract features, recognition of objects, distances, people, buildings and understanding. Students will learn the basics of computer vision and its fundamental platforms (hardware and software) and how it can be applied in almost any industry.
