Kinesiology and exercise science professionals study the basics of mechanics and anatomy, especially in relation to humans and body movement. Education is available at many levels, ranging from associate’s to doctoral degrees. Exercise science focuses on the effects physical activity has on the human body. Common areas of study in kinesiology might include biomechanics, exercise physiology and motor control. A variety of careers are available in the fields of exercise science and kinesiology, including personal fitness training, sports management, athletic training, coaching and recreational therapy jobs.
