The Apparel CAD Pattern Development certificate (C1) provides instruction in traditional and digital patternmaking for apparel design and production. Students develop skills in flat pattern development, custom pattern drafting, and draping, with an emphasis on fit, accuracy, and technical execution. Coursework introduces industry-standard CAD tools used to digitize, modify, and refine patterns for professional apparel workflows. The certificate prepares students for entry-level roles in patternmaking and technical design, as well as for pattern development work in small studios or freelance settings.
