The Houston Community College (HCC) Division of Workforce Instruction’s (CE) faculty and staff are committed to providing outstanding instruction and services to our community in areas such as: business, languages, industrial technology & energy, information technology, construction, manufacturing, transportation, public safety, and health. To determine what Houston needs and wants, we conduct critical economic analysis of the metropolitan areas-then move to meet those needs by delivering high-quality educational opportunities.

The Division of Workforce Instruction offers more than 30 short-term career training certificates in the fastest growing job markets in the greater Houston area. You can increase your earning potential in as little as two to nine months. According to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, over a lifetime an advanced certificate is worth more than $250,000 in additional income.
