CHLT 1270 - Strategies for Client Engagement Credits: 2
This course is designed to equip students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge to effectively engage clients in the context of social determinants to health. The course focuses on strategies to enhance client readiness for behavioral change through motivational interviewing, understanding resistance, and facilitating the acceptance of necessary improvements. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to effectively engage clients, motivate behavioral change, and connect them with the resources needed to improve their overall health and well-being.
