ITDS 1374 - Introduction to NoSQL Databases Credits: 3
This course introduces students to the different types of NoSQL databases, such as key-value, columnar, document and graph/node databases. Students gain understanding to differentiate between SQL and NoSQL databases and connect to a database and learn to perform fundamental CRUD operations. Additionally, students gain an understanding of database management tasks, such as aggregation, indexing, and sharding/partitioning data.
