Your 2025-26 Houston Community College (HCC) Catalog & Student Handbook will provide guidance and background to all students enrolled at HCC, prospective students, and alumni to quickly locate and save details about our undergraduate courses and programs [credit bearing courses only].
All non-credit courses and programs are located in the 2025-26 Continuing Education (CE) Catalog which can be found in the catalog version drop-down list which appears before the Catalog Search box on the top right of the page. The default selection in the drop down list will be “2025-26 HCC Catalog & Student Handbook”. You may switch between catalogs at any point by choosing the desired version from the version drop-down list. After selecting the desired catalog, it will load automatically.

Looking for a previous catalog? Select from the most recent catalogs or click here to view Digital 2007-08 to 2020-21 Archived HCC Catalogs. Any catalogs before the 2007 date will require a request from the Registrar’s Office via email hcc.enrollment@hccs.edu.
Two Ways to Find Your Course

Catalog Search
The Catalog Search function is available on the upper right side of the page, labeled as “Catalog Search”. The first box below the Catalog Search heading is a drop-down menu where you may specify the focus of the search such as the entire catalog or only certain sections. Options include Entire Catalog, Courses, Awards, Programs, Centers of Excellence and Divisions, or the Entire Catalog.
A search box is located below the the drop-down menu option and allows the user to search for key words within the option you select from the drop down menu. An option titled “Whole Word/Phrase” is locate immediately after the search box. By checking this option, the user may specify that the search contain all the words entered in the search box. The link below the “Whole Word/Phrase” option titled “Advanced Search” provides the user with additional options for conducting a catalog search.
Browse Degree Plans in multiple ways Awards by Degree, Awards by Program, Awards by COE & Division, Awards (A-Z) to find the program that is right for you.
- Click on box titled “Course Descriptions” to list all the courses offered at HCC.

- On the right side of the screen, listed after the title heading “Catalog Home”, you may click on catalog section titles to navigate to specific areas of the catalog. These sections include titles such as Awards by Degree, Course Descriptions, Academic Information, Admissions, and Student Services, among others.
Within each award page, you may create a printable Degree Planner by clicking on the paper icon. The paper icon is the first icon in row of five icons located after the catalog version drop down list at the top right of the award page. The catalog version drop down list always states the title of the catalog being search by the user.
Catalog Help & Accessibility

Other than the award pages which include five icons, each catalog section such as Awards by Degree, Academic Information, or Student Services lists four icons at the top right of the webpage beneath the catalog version drop down list. These icons provide help and accessibility options. The icons are always presented in a row in the following order:
- My HCC Catalog - denoted by a star
- Social Media - denoted by three connected circles
- Printer Friendly - shown as a printer
- Catalog Help - listed as as question mark
Each icon has a specific function described next.

Clicking the star icon will save the page to your favorites. The next time you go to MyHCC Catalog, your material will be there. The MyHCC Catalog button is located at the end of the catalog sections list on the right side of the page, after the Welcome Messages section.
