In this course, students will learn how set up a professional translation and interpreting business. They will learn about relevant tax requirements, business organization, budgeting, and administrative processes. They will learn how to manage their time, set prices for their services, and negotiate with clients. Students will practice diplomacy and professional etiquette when interacting with clients and peers. They will learn how to market their services, find clients, and grow their business. They will learn how to specialize, obtain appropriate certifications, and continue to develop professionally.
